1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit them. They are used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. In addition to cookies, the site may use local storage technologies (localStorage) to save user preferences.

2. Types of Cookies and Technologies Used

2.1 Technical/Necessary Cookies (always active)

These cookies are essential for the website to work and cannot be switched off. They are set only in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences or filling in forms.

The Turnstile anti-bot service is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. and does not profile users or track them across different sites: it analyses technical browser signals for the sole purpose of distinguishing human from automated traffic. It falls within the measures strictly necessary to provide the requested service and does not require consent.

2.2 Analytics Cookies (with consent)

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They are activated only if the user gives consent through the cookie banner.

2.3 Marketing Cookies (with consent)

These cookies are used to track visitors across websites and display relevant advertising. They are activated only if the user gives specific consent through the cookie banner.

2.4 Technical consent management (Google Consent Mode v2)

The site implements Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make any choice, all consent parameters (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to denied: no analytics or marketing script is loaded and no advertising identifier is read or written. The parameters switch to granted only for the categories you accept, and return to denied as soon as you withdraw consent.

2.5 Email open statistics

The informational communications we send by email contain a minimal transparent image that tells us the message has been opened. This is not a cookie and does not concern browsing on the site, but it is a comparable measurement technology: we describe it here for completeness. You can prevent it from working by disabling automatic image loading in your mail client, or by switching off informational communications altogether. The processing is described in detail in the Privacy Policy.

2.6 Client Portal (portale.ipgsenergy.it)

The restricted client portal uses the following additional technologies, all strictly technical. There are no analytics or profiling cookies:

3. Consent Record

In order to demonstrate that we collected valid consent, as required by art. 7(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we store on our servers a record of every choice made through the banner. The record contains: a random identifier of the record, the categories accepted or refused, the version of this Cookie Policy, how the choice was made (accept all, reject, custom selection or withdrawal), the date and time, the browser identifier (user agent) and the IP address stored only in irreversibly hashed form.

This record contains neither your name nor any data that directly identifies you, is not used for profiling and is not disclosed to third parties. It is retained for 24 months. The record is kept on the basis of the Controller's legitimate interest in documenting compliance with data protection obligations (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences in several ways:

• Cookie banner: the first time you visit the site you can accept, refuse or customise cookies through the banner.
• Change preferences: you can change your choices at any time by clicking "Manage Cookies" in the site footer.
• Browser settings: you can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help pages for more information.

Duration of consent: in accordance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Decision no. 231 of 10 June 2021), your cookie preferences are stored for a maximum of 6 months, after which you will be asked to express your choices again. Closing the cookie banner with the "X" button is equivalent to refusing non-necessary cookies.
